The Beginning

It was not easy getting a food business started in a gas station, we had a slow start. We turned a sandwich deli/beer&wine into a taco operation. We take pride in being local, family owned, and operated.
Quick Service
Taco Bar el Güero offers quick counter service. We have a few tables and a patio but we mainly handle carryout. We invite you to come try our Mexican food and make us your local taco spot!
A New Image
2020
If you hadn’t noticed we decided to rebrand and freshen up our image since we have been in business for more than 15 years. The man with the exceptionally perfect beard in the logo is Jose, which most regulars have probably met before. Thankfully, having a thriving business has helped us expand. In 2017 we opened our sister location, Ixtapalapa Taqueria also in Gaithersburg, MD, hence why there’s a tab linking you to that site.
